History of the Venue

Once a former corporate employee with an educational background in mechanical engineering and corporate experience as a program manager, Tom Frei left the corporate world to pursue his dream of building a lavender field for the local community to enjoy. With a passion for gardening, he purchased the property in 2013 and turned the backyard into a field of lavenders. Once open to the public, the Woodinville Lavender turned into hosting only private events, and since, has gained much awards and accolades as a wedding venue. Although the space can physically and accomodate much more than 50 guests comfortably, there is a cap on the guest count to preserve, respect, and maintain the space for what it is: A lavender field that provides the perfect blend of luxury and elegant ambiance.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

There is no set ceremony space at this reception. The field is endless and able to accomodate your ceremony space where ever you like. Right in the middle of the field surrounded by all 4 rectangular lavender fields? Sure. On the edge or any corners of the space with lavendar fields in the background? No problem. On rainy days, you can be prepared to host all of your guests in the ceremony greenhouse overlooking all 4 fields of lavender. The possilibities are endless here.

The reception is setup under a 32’ x 70’ Sailcloth reception tent. This will provide beautiful, unobstructed views of the lavendar field for all your guests while they enjoy dining in comfort and shelter from the unpredictable PNW climate.

Unique Features

What doesn’t need to be stated is that Woodinville Lavender is unique by its field of lavenders. There is no other wedding venue quite like this. The lavender fields are award winning, manicured, and maintained to the highest quality of excellence. The space is absolutely immaculate and looks straight like it came out of a fairytale.

The bridal suite is built to house all your essentials to ensure you have the space needed to get ready, and have those moments beautifully captured. It opens out to a private patio area that allows a breath of fresh air, while remaining privately hidden from the groomsmen and your wedding guests.

There is a separate indoor space for the groom’s suite that also houses all essentials to get ready. It is well separated from the bridal suite to ensure accidental first looks are not an occurence.

Rates and Packages

The 2024 base rates for bookings is $12,000, Saturdays are $1,500 more. The 2025 base rate for bookings is $12,500, also adding $1,500 for Saturdays. There is no price variance for peak/low seasons. This rate comes with personal and expert wedding planning and day of coordination by none other than venue owner Tom Frei. Also included is custom on-site equipment, such as but not limited to the arch, the circular arbor, patio, reception tent, ceremony benches, tables, and chairs.

Guest Count Accomodation

Although Woodinville Lavender can physically and comfortably accomodate significantly more than 50 guests, there is a strict limit to 50 guests to ensure the highest quality of care, service, maintenance, and preservation of the property grounds.
