Pilot - Blog Launch

I never thought I would be one to launch a blog page. My website first started in 2017 only because I wanted to display my work for potential clients to see. Well just about a month ago in August of 2023, I redesigned my entire website. It has evolved from being just a page to showcase my work, to really telling you who I am, what I do, why I do it, but most importantly, what I can do for you.

You might have learned a bit about me if you visited my about page. Well, let me tell you a bit more about myself. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area but have spent quite a bit of time around Sacramento and San Diego for school and work. I gave up sunny California sunshine for cloudy Seattle when I moved in July 2023 for a great job opportunity. Even though I’m new to the area, and wasn’t sure how I was going to handle the change in climate, I’ve really enjoyed my time thus far. Granted, I haven’t had time to experience pacific northwest winters, so I’ll give an update on that in 9 months! Either way, I think the natural landscapes here are incredible here, and dare I say better than in California? Well I will say this: to get nice scenery in California, you need to travel. At least a few hours drive more inland to get mountains and trees but here in Seattle? I get that right in my backyard (I mean that literally! You should see the view from my apartment). I’m so excited to explore the greater seattle area and eventually more of the pacific northwest and photography is my best way of doing that.

What can you expect from my blog pages? Well I’m not writing this for me, I’m writing this for past, current, and prospective clients, and anyone who is interested in my photography in general. I’ll be sharing my insights, true to the heart. Just raw, unfiltered thoughts about not just my professional shoots, but also my experience with anything photography related. Here, you’ll find out more about my personal life, because I want to truly connect with my community and to do that, I won’t just hide behind a camera.

So what is it that I love about weddings and portrait photography? I can see the beauty in each individual. I’m not talking about just outer beauty; I see inner beauty first, and that manifests in outer beauty. I love the scenery in portraits and venue decor in weddings as well, but those only serve to highlight the people, not overshadow or replace them. This is what I capture. This is what I deliver. Memories that will last a lifetime.
